Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana is enlisting a company with similar regional roots for its latest activation.
The label is partnering with Italian appliance company Smeg to bring a collection of “Blu Mediterraneo” appliances to market. From June 15, the new line is taking over the clothing label’s Corso Venezia 7 storefront in Milan.
Bold blue boutique
Smeg and the fashion label come together within Dolce & Gabbana's marketplace, located in the heart of the Italian metropolis.
The resulting appliances themselves utilize white and blue Majolica printing, a reference to the traditional blue and white tiles that are characteristic of the region of the country. Dolce & Gabbana’s boutique takes full advantage of the Mediterranean-themed visuals.

Small appliances within the line include a toaster, kettle, juicer, coffee grinder, espresso machine and milk frother, with a refrigerator and gas range making up the group of larger options. Items created in collaboration are available at Dolce & Gabbana Casa and Smeg boutiques.
This is not the first time that the Italian companies have teamed up.
In 2017, the pair came together to create an ode to the island of Sicily (see story). Dolce & Gabbana’s most recent collaboration, in contrast to Smeg’s continued partnership, came from outside of its home country.
Enlisting the help of Spanish Blogger Pelayo Dìaz, the label infused aspects of the influencer’s life into a capsule of men’s leisurewear (see story).
