For the first time in its history, luxury conglomerate LVMH has provided a peek into its exclusive workshops, design showrooms and wine cellars -- to reveal the hundreds of hands and delicate workmanship behind its expensive brands, according to Fox Business.

Global luxury sector continues surge with 10pc growth forecast in 2011
Bain & Co. says in a report commissioned by Italian luxury producers that a resurgence of growth in the U.S. and European markets coupled with strong performance in China and Latin America are driving growth in the sector. Japan also returned to growth, according to Washington Post.

Online flash sales less flashy as inventory shrinks

First look at from Barneys’ Lady Gaga holiday workshop
Justin Tranter is the front man of the band Semi Precious Weapons, and spent eighteen months on Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour. He also happens to run a jewelry line called Fetty in his spare time, and has designed a capsule collection of three necklaces for Lady Gaga's forthcoming Holiday Workshop at Barneys, according to The  Cut.
