Printemps unveils VIP shopping suite at Haussmann flagship

French luxury retailer Printemps is granting select clients premium shopping privileges.

The high-end department store has unveiled a new salon concept targeting VIPs. Located on the sixth floor of its Haussmann flagship, ultra-personalized services, from one-on-one shopping appointments to exclusive events, are offered in the by-appointment-only Augustine Suite.

VIP treatment at Printemps
The Augustine Suite features a bar, lounge, private fitting room and an international team of associates ready to help facilitate personal shopping sessions.

Named in homage to Augustine Jaluzot, wife of Printemps' founder, the roughly 3,760-square-foot suite’s interior codes are inspired by those of the French home, combining the aesthetics of a Parisian apartment with a luxury hotel suite.

Aix-en-Provence-born designer Tristan Auer modeled the space, incorporating heritage frescoes that were restored for the opening in the rotunda, and including a private terrace with 180-degree views of the city.

Concierge services, catering on request and on-site and off-site events hosted by creatives such as artists, artisans and chefs are among the perks available to guests.

The suite represents an evolution of Printemps’ existing personal shopping services, which currently employ nearly 100 people across Paris and surrounding regions, offering remote options to customers, whether online, by video via FaceTime, through WhatsApp or with click and collect.

Folding these areas into their respective retail experiences, private salons are proving increasingly popular among luxury players (see story).
