Ritz-Carlton Battery Park targets wealthy couples with ultra-luxe package

January 22, 2013

The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, is targeting affluent couples who want to take their wedding to the next level with its new “Love is Priceless” personalized wedding package.

The Love is Priceless package includes a helicopter arrival, Maybach ground transportation, a private yacht for the rehearsal dinner, suite accommodations and a honeymoon at a Ritz-Carlton property of the couple's choice. The price of the package is available upon request.

"We have had individual requests in the past to organize helicopter transfers, unique rehearsal dinners abroad a private yacht, as well as luxury car rentals," said Jocelyn McCarthy, director of catering sales at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, New York.

"These offerings showcase our commitment to offer superlative service and attention to detail while seeking unique experiences that lead to lasting memories," she said.

Wedding bells

The Love is Priceless wedding package allows affluent couples to make the most out of the Battery Park property and personalize the details of their wedding and stay.

The couple receives helicopter transportation from a New York-area airport to a landing pad nearby the hotel and Maybach ground transportation to the hotel upon their arrival.

The package includes three-nights’ accommodations in the hotel’s Liberty Suite which offers a view of the Statue of Liberty.

View from the Liberty Suite

A private yacht, Atlantica by The Bateau, will be available for the couple and 50 of their guests to use for the rehearsal dinner and a tour of the Hudson River’s skyline.

On the wedding day, the bridal party is offered the Bridal Suite and lunch accommodation for up to 10 people.

Also, the couple will receive a cocktail reception after the ceremony at the hotel’s bar Rise on the 14th floor of the property.

During the reception, there will be a plane fly-by with a banner congratulating the couple on their wedding.

After the reception, there will be a dinner available for up to 150 guests, entertainment and a bespoke, celebrity-designed wedding cake.

In addition, the package offers a honeymoon experience, which includes first-class round-trip airfare, five nights in a suite at the couple’s Ritz-Carlton property of choice with Champagne upon arrival and a couples message.

“The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park is further downtown than most immediately think to go for their wedding, but with the luxurious amenities offered by this location, the Battery Park area has the potential to be a fantastic wedding destination,” said D.M. Banks, director at DMB Public Relations, New York.

“This property excels at offering very intimate services and amenities for the wedding couple, specializing in the smaller weddings of 100-150, as well as same-sex weddings,” he said.

Walk down the aisle

Recently, the Battery Park property has been targeting guests who are planning to get married.

In December, the hotel tapped into a new consumer market by offering tailored wedding packages for same-sex couples.

The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park now has two different packages that can accommodate up to 50 wedding guests. Packages include an LGBT-certified Ritz-Carlton wedding consultant, wedding concierge, Statue of Liberty view accommodation on the wedding night, marriage officiant, Champagne toast and wedding cake, floral options and caricature of the wedding couple and Lady Liberty to commemorate the day (see story).

Since this hotel property focuses on hosting weddings, pushing an elaborate wedding package could help set it apart from its competitors in New York.

“The reputation and quality of services and amenities for wedding packages at this property certainly adds value to this hotel,” Mr. Banks said.
