Italian fashion house Versace is mixing Mediterranean-style with cues from Hollywood's golden age.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter's second campaign for the brand was shot by Dutch photographer and director Carlijn Jacobs and includes a mix of still and video assets. The fashion house and online luxury retailer Moda Operandi celebrated the La Vacanza collection launch with a party in New York City yesterday.

"I have always felt empowered when wearing Versace,” said Ms. Carpenter, in a statement.

“That is what Versace means to me; amazing clothes which empower individuals to express themself in so many different ways,” Ms. Carpenter said. This La Vacanza collection is exactly that and feels so free and exciting to wear."

Vacation-ready
With an exaggerated air of languor, Ms. Carpenter lounges poolside in a silver, sequined dress and matching blue-and-white silk set. The video campaign also intersperses clips of palm trees, shimmering azure water and an oversized gold chandelier.

Close in hand, Ms. Carpenter totes the Tag Bowling shoulder bag, which can be seen in two of the 11 available colorways: black and gold. The fashion house first introduced the style in November 2024.

Versace launched the collection for pre-order in collaboration with Moda Operandi yesterday. The occasion was marked with a party on the rooftop of the members-only club The Twenty Two in New York City.

Attendees included Ms. Carpenter alongside the fashion house’s former creative director Donatella Versace (see story), Moda Operandi cofounder Lauren Santo Domingo and American actresss Anne Hathaway.

Ms. Carpenter’s first campaign for the fashion house highlighted the brand’s reimagined Biggie sunglasses which originated in the 1980s and were re-released in 2018 (see story).

In April, Italy’s Prada Group purchased Versace from parent company Capri Holdings (see story).
