A new initiative highlights the breadth of listings available via French luxury resale platform Vestiaire Collective.

Curated edits featuring archival fashions from designers such as Alaïa, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada and Vivienne Westwood ground its latest campaign, dubbed “Vintage Days.” The special-edition sale runs from June 5 - 7.

“Vintage has always been part of Vestiaire Collective’s DNA,” said Sophie Hersan, cofounder and fashion director at Vestiaire Collective, in a statement.

“With this focus on vintage, we’re celebrating the cultural significance and emotional power of archival fashion, from iconic red carpet looks to pieces that defined entire style eras,” Ms. Hersan said. “As demand for vintage continues to grow, our goal is to make these timeless pieces easier to find, shop, and fall in love with again.”

Now live online, the activation sets out to showcase the diversity of Vestiaire Collective’s vintage assortment.

Looks inspired by 1990s and 2000s television shows and movies such as “Sex and the City,” “Beverly Hills 90210” and Clueless fill the product edit, which includes a selection of 500 pieces under $500, as well as one-of-a-kind pieces previously worn by celebrities and fashion insiders.

A dedicated vintage search filter is among the features the company offers to help users navigate the site. Tools available to its shoppers appear to be driving the growth of the platform, which has seen a 220 percent increase in vintage listings since 2020, per Vestiaire Collective’s recently published Resale Buying Guide (see story).
