Milanese jeweler Pomellato is celebrating the launch of contemporary high jewelry designs.

Entering a new chapter, the maison reveals bespoke additions to its Nudo collection alongside an informative campaign titled “The Art of Nudo.” The effort platforms craftsmanship while educating audiences on Pomellato’s creative philosophy, tracking the evolution of a classic product line.

“For me, Nudo represents the purest expression of Pomellato’s creative soul,” said Vincenzo Castaldo, creative director at Pomellato, in a statement.

“It’s not just a design; it’s a philosophical statement about beauty in its most essential form.”

A contemporary icon reimagined
Pomellato’s Art of Nudo campaign tells the story of Nudo, highlighting its cornerstone characteristics: the remixing of cut and color.

The transformation of rare gemstones, including aquamarine, rubellite, tanzanite and mother-of-pearl, each set alongside diamonds and united by the line’s signature 57-facet cut, has defined Nudo jewels since its introduction in 2001, the collection’s timeline and evolution unfolding in a new video.

Arriving more than 130 creations and 24 gemstones later, Pomellato’s history lesson serves as a backdrop that unveils new high jewelry Nudo additions. Of the new releases, a centerpiece showcases the mastery of Pomellato’s artisans.

The statement necklace in white gold with tanzanite and diamonds, paired with drop earrings and cocktail rings with a white diamond halo, appears in new visuals from the luxury house.

A new sautoir necklace in rose and white gold with white mother-of-pearl and diamonds rounds out the debut.

“The art of gems is about capturing nature’s poetry in color,” said Stefano Cortecci, gem master at Pomellato, in a statement.

“When I search for Nudo stones, I’m not just looking for perfect gems - I’m searching for gems with personality, with soul,” Mr. Cortecci said. “Each stone must possess that magical quality that speaks to both the eye and the heart.

“Like an artist selecting pigments for a masterpiece, we seek out gems that don’t just reflect light but transform it into emotion.”

Color, cut and craft
In January, Pomellato released The Art of Gems, a campaign that recognized the beauty of the rare and unconventional gemstones at the core of its practice (see story).

The Art of Nudo carries this message forward, as brand leaders (see story) deepen the narrative, turning the spotlight on more modern entries without forgetting the maison’s roots. A new global activation is built into this marketing strategy.

Pomellato has opened an immersive exhibition platforming the collection in Seoul, South Korea, hosting a VIP event on April 30 in honor of the launch. The Art of Nudo exhibition is live from May 1 to May 11.

“Whether it’s the mysterious depths of a London blue topaz or the vivid warmth of a red garnet, each stone must have that ineffable quality that makes a woman pause, smile, and feel something special when she looks at her Nudo jewel,” Pomellato’s Mr. Cortecci said, in a statement.
